18 - 1/4 cup red onion, thinly sliced
19 - 1/4 cup zesty yogurt sauce or chipotle mayo

# Directions:
01 - In a large bowl, mash the black beans with a fork or potato masher, leaving some texture.
02 - Add the red onion, garlic, rolled oats, breadcrumbs, egg, lime juice, cumin, smoked paprika, chili powder, salt, black pepper, and cilantro to the mashed beans. Mix thoroughly until well combined.
03 - Divide the mixture into four equal portions and shape each into a burger patty.
04 - Heat a nonstick skillet or grill pan over medium heat and lightly oil the surface.
05 - Cook the patties for 4 to 5 minutes per side, until golden brown and heated through.
06 - Lightly toast the burger buns if desired.
07 - Spread zesty yogurt sauce or chipotle mayo onto the bottom half of each bun. Layer with shredded lettuce, a black bean patty, sliced tomato, red onion, and avocado slices. Top with the bun lids.
08 - Serve immediately with lime wedges on the side.
